These are the villages of Geroplatanos and Palaiohora (between Agios Prodromos and Arnaia), with the small nearby settlements of Sana and Riza. Because of their position on the mountainside these villages all see the sun rise to their left, unlike most of the neighbouring villages – hence the name, from the Greek word zervos – left.
