OLIVES – OLIVE OIL 

Halkidiki due to its climate produces virgin olive oil and olives, well known for their flavor and quality. Producing regions: Mt Meliton, Pallini, Mt Holomontas, Polygyros, Ormylia, Olynthos and Nea Moudania. 

CHEESE 

There is a strong tradition in cheese making. Halkidiki producers use traditional methods for cheese making. All of this art’s secrets pass by from one generation to another. Producing regions: Central and Northern Halkidiki 

HONEY 

Halkidiki is considered to be the “motherland” of honey, which is probably true since there are 6.500 honey makers who produce 1.910 tones of honey annually. Producing regions: Nikiti, Kassandra, Arnea 

MARMALADES 

Within the prefecture there is a great variety of fruits. Breakfast can be tasty with the homemade sweets and the traditional marmalades. 

BREAD 

There are still traditional stone ovens in Halkidiki, which bake delicious breads. 

WINE
